Privacy policy

PoukPouk is a tool for parents. We collect as little information as possible, we never sell it and we show no advertising.
Who is responsible for your information?
The person in charge of the protection of personal information is Freya la gentille sorcière (provisional name). For any question or request: [email protected].
What we collect
- For the adult: email address, password (never readable: it is hashed) and chosen language.
- For each child: a first name or nickname (encrypted) and, if you wish, their year of birth. No photos.
- To make it work: the behaviours, tasks and rewards you choose, the marshmallow journal and the notes you write (labels and notes are encrypted), and the wardrobe items.
- Ideas you suggest for our suggestion lists, only if you agree to send them: the text of the idea, with no information about your child.
We use no third-party analytics or advertising tools. Our statistics are anonymous, aggregated and computed on our own server.
Why
Only to run PoukPouk: your account, its security, and showing your data on your devices.
Where your data is
On our server [located in Québec, Canada]. A few technical service providers, kept to the strict minimum, may be involved: the email service (account confirmation, forgotten password) [service to be specified], and encrypted storage for our backups [to be specified]. If they are located outside Québec, a privacy impact assessment is done beforehand.
How long
As long as your account exists. An account inactive for 18 months receives a notice, then is deleted after 24 months. When you delete your account, your data is erased, and it disappears from our backups within 30 days.
Your rights
In the app (Settings › My account), you can download all your data and delete your account at any time. You can also write to us to access, correct or delete your information, or to withdraw your consent.
Security
Encrypted connection (HTTPS), hashed passwords and parent code, encrypted sensitive information, encrypted backups. If a privacy incident occurs, we record it and, if it presents a risk, we notify you and the authorities.
Changes
If this policy changes significantly, we will let you know in the app.
